Habbo, Greenpeace Survey Reveals Teens Worldwide are More Concerned about Global Warming than Drugs, Violence or War
Nearly 50,000 teens were polled on environmental issues leading up to the United Nations climate change conference.

Global Warming Is It Real?
The debate about global warming continues today and will continue for many decades to come. The subject of global warming refers to the average increase in the earth's temperature--which then causes changes in climate.

The Top 3 Alternative Energy Sources
As each year pass, more and more people come into the world. Sometimes it seems as if the worlds natural sources are no longer enough to accommodate each and everyone. Scientists have a solution for this possible impending problem they came up with alternative energy sources.

Alternative Energy From Waste Sugars Produced By New Modular Ethanol Plant
Diversified Ethanol Corporation(TM) will begin construction of a new facility for Master Recycling Center, Inc., in Pomona, California that will produce 5 million gallons per year of Ethanol. This new source of revenue is being produced from the millions of gallons per year of waste sugars currently being thrown away. Instead of pouring it down the drain, soft drink recyclers and breweries can now turn their "waste into gold".

Your Insurance Premium May Be Affected By Global Warming
The last decade or so have not been a particularly good one for the UK insurance industry. It seems that at least once a year the UK insurance industry gets to feel the bit of a natural disaster somewhere in the world.

Celsias.com Antarctic Adventurer Braves the Cold for Global Warming Awareness
Celsias.com (http://www.celsias.com/) promotes awareness of climate change and the environment by featuring Antarctic adventurer Patricia Ballou's tales of survival and research. Ballou's latest post reports on a night spent on the ice and an interview with climate change researcher Dr. Stephen F. Pekar.

"Animals Only" Conference on Global Warming hosted by Animal-Internet.com
Animal-Internet.com (http://Animal-Internet.com), a humorous social networking site that publishes animatorials (editorials written by animals) is holding the world's first animals only conference on global warming. Humans are encouraged to browse but participation is limited to those with no thumbs.

New Business Venture Inspired by Corporate Greed And Global Warming
Being disillusioned and fed up hearing about corporate greed, and overall business ineptness, Mr. Cassius Lobo and Mr. Graeme Macrae simply asked; Can a company in today's business climate succeed based on good corporate ethics and values? Well, according to the now owners of Ideal North, a new Montreal apparel company, the answer was not only yes, but the basis of their business plan: "Offer products and service that exceed customer expectations, be environmentally conscientious, and to keep integrity at the forefront in all aspects of the operation."

SAAFER.org Awards Grant for American Ingenuity in Alternative Energy

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 14, 2008 -- Supporting Advancements in Alternative Fuel & Energy Research (SAAFER.org) announced it has selected Paul Bellezza, from Parkesburg, PA, as the 2007 recipient of its annual SAAFER Solutions Grant. SAAFER.org, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to the recognition and funding of individual researchers focused on alternative fuel & energy projects. SAAFER.org's annual grant is funded by public donations and purchases of SAAFER.org decals available at http://www.saafer.org.

Mr. Bellezza's award winning project, Highly Efficient Thermoelectric Generator, is built of thermoelectric positive and negative type semiconductor elements between hot and cold paddles connected in series. His development of a toroidal ring has created high DC currents with low voltage in the 2000-5000 watt AC range. Ongoing work in varying energy design circuits will yield the high AC electrical efficiency outputs from DC thermoelectric power. The generator produces useable domestic and industrial AC electrical power from any appropriate heat source, including high temperature solar array. The compact generator, capable of being linked in several pairs to increase power output, provides a wide range of applications including industrial, home, and vehicle use as well as remote power generation. The thermoelectric generator weighs approximately 15 pounds.

Like all American heroes and pioneers, Mr. Bellezza's dedication and commitment has required determination and sacrifice. During his 8 years of research, his project has been funded personally. He credits his family's ongoing support and belief as the foundation of his success. SAAFER.org's grant is the first recognition and funding the project has received.

Damon and Kay Vance, founders of SAAFER.org, believe the individual researcher's input is crucial in ending the increasing burden of energy costs, air pollution, and security compromises to the United States. SAAFER.org's grant to independent researchers, like Mr. Bellezza, provides the opportunity for true American ingenuity and determination to deliver the progressive solutions necessary for this 21st century challenge.

In 2008, SAAFER.org will continue its fundraising efforts and attempt to strengthen its' alliances with established nonprofits, foundations, citizens, businesses, and government agencies. Any persons interested in making a donation, becoming an affiliate, volunteering, or applying for the grant can view more information at http://www.saafer.org.
